About Our Suits

The right suit makes a man look dapper, feel confident and turns heads. All our fits are Made-to-Measure using quality fabrics of Italian or English origin. The jackets are crafted with a hand/floating body canvas from the finest camel hair canvas on the market which gives a soft natural feel to the jacket and enables shape to be constructed into the chest area to either help with the fit, or to enhance the figure. With our custom tailored fitting, you can select product and your desired size, submit your measurements and leave the rest to us. Whether you want to look dapper at your next function or you just think it’s time to have a quality suit in your wardrobe, Zane Barlas has got you covered. The Construction Process Before the Individual paper pattern is cut, every order is analyzed by our “Master” tailor. Fabric is singularly cut and inlays are added. From the measurement that is provided, the gentleman's specific paper pattern is cut and the particular style that has been selected by the customer is transferred to the pattern. Fabric would be trimmed and added to the natural canvases, buttons and hand silks. After the paper pattern has been cut, it is then chalked around and the suit is cut by hand on the selected fabric. Extra cloth is left at certain seams to allow for possible fluctuations in the client's weight, thus enabling the suit to be altered, if required in the future. The cloths are padded with canvasses for the perfect chest drape. Particular materials are then added to the suit i.e. natural wool, canvasses and lining (trimming). These are used within the construction of the garment to give the suit its classic silhouette. Quality Re-check First, identifying the base fit where length and posture are noted. The fabric is then assigned to one of our experienced tailors where it is canvassed by hand and prepared for the first fitting. Second stage fitting checks for drape, neck point and cuffs. It is where previous alterations and amendments are refined as to give the suit its exceptional fit and comfort. After the final alterations have been made, the tailor will make the buttonholes and finish the suit inside and out using the fine hand silks, thus giving the suit pure natural fibers and lasting finish.
